The Astros didn't give us much to be happy about on Father's Day... but hope you had a good one eitherway. This is what I was awakened to this morning.
It was a bit of a reversal for me, ‘cause I was away in Houston for the three days prior for the Republican convention, so I was on chillun duty Sunday morning while my wife slept in for a change. Home for me is in Austin.
And that wasn’t even the Father’s day present! The Father’s day present was a pair of tickets for me and my son to go to one of the Astros-Cubs games in July. Of course, while I was in Houston this weekend, I had to stock up on hats and jerseys in anticipation of return trips to the juicebox.
I love the Texan accent on your wife. It’s so… Texan! I think my wife would have her beat, though. She started getting funny looks the minute she stepped off the plane in Newark when I sent her to New York for a trip a couple years back. Her: “Everybody’s staring at me…” Me: “It’s because you’re talking.”
