Watch out for the Lexington rotation... With Jordan Lyles, Ross Seaton, Brad Dydalewicz, Kyle Greenwalt, Robert Bono the Legends' starter may shed some light on the future of Astros' pitching.
Fast advancers in Lancaster... Ten members of the JetHawks roster ended last season at Short Season A Tri-City. Jason Castro, David Duncan, and Jack Shuck and seven others skipped a level in their development.
Repeating AA...Mitch Einertson is the only member of last season's Corpus Christi outfield to be back with the Hooks. Einertson is eligible to be a free agent after this season.
Who will lead the catching race?...Lou Santangelo has reportedly regained his position ahead of J.R. Towles in the depth chart. It will be interesting to see who gets called up if there is a catching injury at Minute Maid Park.

I think Maysonet WAS on the RR page yesterday…Wade said they would be giving up a “quality prospect”, I think was how he phrased it.

Round Rock's press release is interesting.
Here it is.
Maysonet is listed as an infielder in the press release.
I’m glad to see that Arias made the starting rotation:
Paulino, Capellan, Fulchino, Arias, Norris. Paulino is the opening day starter.
Maysonet and Manzella are described as the starting middle infielders. Sutton isn’t listed as a starter but is “in the mix” according to the press release.

when Footer mentioned that he was a bullpen candidate, I was definitely confused. I sent off an email to Footer asking whether the change was set in stone, but got no reply.

Essentially,
Round Rock and Corpus Christi are the only minor league astros teams that are really possible to go see. But, if I had a choice, I think Lexington would be the team I’d most want to watch. Seaton, Lyles, and Dydalewicz might make them an interesting team to watch, as you point out. And Heck keeps talking about Phil Disher, so there’s that. I mean, any strength the Astros’ farm system has is at the lower levels right now, so I’d probably want to see that.
Lancaster games might be fun to watch, since I hear it’s an extreme hitters’ park. Of course, that’s partly why (as I understand it) the Red Sox switched to Salem, because they felt that Lancaster was messing with their pitchers’ heads. Still, the Astros have some interesting pitching prospects there (Chris Hicks, Chia Jen Lo). More importantly, the Jet Hawks include the two players with the (after Lexington’s Pat Urckfitz) best names in Astros baseball: TJ Steele and Jack Shuck.

The lancaster play by play guy didn’t know. However, according to a poster who saw Lexingto play this weekend and spoke to Travis Driskill, Cespedes is in Florida (extended spring training) with some tendinitis issues.
