Cecil Cooper got an extension, will it have any effect on the Astros?
The lineup is the same as yesterday's, despite what Cooper had said in an interview. Moving Bourn to SS and Pudge to 3B?? I hope it never comes to that.

No Matsui? No Keppenger?
Dammit, come on! Matsui was supposed to be ready for the Reds games.
14 run second inning – that’s got to be some kind of record.

it’s really surprising how often Bourn was able to work the count to 3-0 or 3-1. But he just doesn’t make contact in those counts, and he has a tendency to strike out looking. And when he does make contact, he doesn’t hit with a lot of power. And that’s why he’s such a frustrating player to watch – he has all these pieces to be a good player, but he just can’t seem to put it together. If he were able to make contact more often, he’d be very, very good.
I liked Brownie's discussion of the common belief about Harang's problems last year.
Apparently Harang worked 4 innings of an extra inning game between starts….and took his regular start date after that. That sounds like something Baker might do.
So great to see Wandy fight through the only trouble spot in the game. Once upon a time he had a hard time dealing with pressure situations like that late in the game.
was that it was just taking too long to come back from “commercial break” between innings. I started hitting the “live” button a couple of times during each break, and usually it would bring me back to the action.
