This is short and sweet, but I was meandering through FanGraphs and when I finally looked at the "Advanced" tab on the Astros statistics, I just thought to myself, "You couldn't make this s*#$ up."
| Player | OBP | wOBA |
| Berkman | .343 | .331 |
| Bourn | .382 | .377 |
I mean really and truly, if you would have told me on April 1, 2009 as an April Fools joke that I could post this table on May 16, 2009, I would have thought less of you for being too obvious on April Fools. Don't get me wrong, I love that Michael Bourn is having a tremendous 2009 thus far, but it sure would be nice for my blogging and fantasy interests if this table weren't so loop-sided. Crazy, crazy stuff—huh?!
I threw one out there, and I'm sure there are some other oddities in the stats that just didn't pop out at me. Please threw them out there so we can collectively scratch our heads.

Hunter Pence with the second highest BB% among starters.
11.9 , behind Berkman’s 16.7. Would you have predicted that?

Nope
That’s both awesome and frightening.

During todays broadcast Jim Deshaies said that
Bourn’s 1st swinging miss on a fastball this season was today. He has fouled some off, but he hadnt missed one the entire season til today. Thats some pretty good fastball hitting.

I spoke of...
players stepping up into roles that were never to be expected, keep this chemistry together, Astros baseball is the most interesting/entertaining show on Earth.

Fantasy Baseball
I have both Berkman and Bourn on my fantasy team, and never thought that I’d be winning more categories due to Bourn than Berkman.
Also, Wandy putting up the numbers he has? Da-y-am.
