Norris
Norris was phenomenal. Too bad he had zero (literally) run support. My seats were right on the line in left field, so we were able to give him a standing O as he headed for the locker room. Nice to be able to do that; it doesn’t happen in the majors.
Unbelievable 11th inning, too. After 10 scoreless on both sides, New Orleans gets 4 in the top, then Round Rock gets 5 in the bottom. What a night.

this is a case study as to why W/L record isn't meaningful for pitchers.
Norris, who has a losing record on the year even though he is tied for the PCL ERA lead, gets no decision. But Geary gives up 4 runs in the 11th inning and gets the win.

Geary
I hadn’t put that together, but yeah, Geary did get the win, didn’t he. What a sad joke.
When I saw Geary coming in, I figured that meant that our manager had given up, and that was the game. After 4 runs scored I really thought that! Amazing bottom half of the inning. Actually the ending was a bit anticlimactic, scoring the winning run on a muffed double play attempt. Would have rather seen Bogey up there with the bases loaded and win it. But I’ll take it, for sure.

good news
On the young Astros pitching prospects. Two thoughts, why haven’t they moved Trinidad up to AAA? Also, do you think management will be monitoriing Norris innnings total going forward, since he missed time last year?

they should be monitoring Norris’ innings closely. that may be an impediment to calling Norris up to the big leagues in the second half….Astros should avoid what happened to Patton.
